The National Lottery Community Fund recently awarded funding to the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) to boost its Statisticians for Society programme, which provides statistical expertise to VCSE sector organisations at no cost.
Statisticians for Society links up to 50 organisations a year with volunteer statisticians that provide expert help on collecting, analysing and presenting data. They can help you make effective use of your data and gather insights to support decision-making.
The programme is now open for applications and will focus on supporting organisations with an annual turnover of less than £500,000.
The RSS would like to encourage organisations to consider applying, even if they're currently unsure of the support they might need. The application process involves completing an enquiry form and, if eligible, a call will be scheduled with a scoping volunteer who will help you determine whether your organisation would benefit from the skills of a statistician.
